• Just finished my first Ursula K. Le Guin novel, Rocannon’s World. A great read, filled with beautiful cinematic descriptions and driving action (after a memorable but a little slow prologue).

  • Really enjoyed a Division Bell variation with 3/4 oz Contratto Aperitif (instead of Aperol, has more orange notes and is sweeter), 3/4 oz lime juice, 1/2 oz Luxardo maraschino liqueur and 1 oz Del Maugey Vida mezcal.

  • The thing about this major key version of Smells Like Teen Spirit (via mefi) is how of-a-piece it sounds with e.g. Better than Ezra.

  • Philadelphia

  • We’re ready.

  • Great success with Cooks’ Illustrated rolls for tomorrow!

  • Having a dip in the Wissahickon with this floofer.

  • Porch dinner!

  • Corpse Reviver #2, my go-to warm weather cocktail lately.

  • Found this in a January 1977 Byte article about expectations that that year would finally see the personal computer becoming an accessible reality. #1977project

  • Fantastic fish dinner last night at Taverna Fetivi in Split. We were so happy to just trust the chef to pick a variety of fish–we’re not very experienced eating whole fish but it was totally worth the adventure.

  • Still my favorite New York City-based superhero.

  • We did family craft projects last night.

  • Back in Atlanta to see family and having lunch at the Dekalb Farmer’s Market. What an amazing place, plus an incredible and incredibly cheap lunch buffet.

  • Gin, lemonade, and elderflower liqueur. Willing it to get warmer in Philadelphia.

  • Started watching The Handmaid’s Tale tonight. Looks great–fantastic look, good writing.
